Caro’s development as a writer

At high school, Caro was co-founder of the first magazine published by students which covered chocolate obsessions and funny, eccentric things that happened at boarding school. After university she wrote articles for newspapers and magazines related to her career in IT consulting. Caro started writing books in Dublin in 2003 while on maternity leave but it took a gift of Maeve Binchy’s ‘writers club’ from her husband Sean in 2007, to get her first book Grape Expectations into good enough shape to attract a publisher,

Through writing and sharing her experience Caro spreads the word about living lightly on the earth. Each small gesture may not seem like much, but it makes a difference: from avoiding unnecessary packaging to demanding organic food from your local shop and restaurant. If we don’t demand change, it won’t happen, and our earth will slowly – or quickly – be poisoned by chemicals, plastic, and fossil fuels.
